Radiology

Basic Principles

Xrays refer to a type of light with a higher wavelength on greater penetrating power than visible light. Because different materials (ex air, tissue, metal) let different amounts of xrays pass through, we are able to use them to visualize the inside of the body. The xrays that do pass through can be captured in a couple different ways. Most commonly they are used to expose film, creating a permament picture.

Images

Ok, fun stuff, so to speak. Some of the more interesting radiographs we've taken over the years.
